Kill Devil Hills is where Orville and Wilbur Wright proved powered flight was possible in December 1903 — ≈ 1 mile from our front door. We named the house in their honor, and a visit to the Wright Brothers National Memorial is the easiest, most meaningful day trip of your stay.

Your home beach, and no stairs to get there. We recommend the Raleigh Avenue access — flat, paved, and easy with a cooler, chairs, or little legs.

A classic 1958 Outer Banks pier — fish, grab a snack, or just watch the sunrise stretch down the coast.

Good to know before you book

How far is the house from the beach?

About a 5-minute walk (352 yards). We recommend the Raleigh Avenue beach access — flat, no stairs, with paved and handicap parking, an accessible beach overlook, an outdoor shower, and a porta john. Ferris Avenue is a same-amenities alternate right nearby. No car, no parking hassle — just grab the included beach gear and go.

Is the house dog friendly?

Yes! Wright by the Beach welcomes dogs, and a crate is provided. A pet fee applies — contact Resort Realty for the current amount.

How does check-in work?

Keyless entry — you'll get a unique door code before arrival, reset for every stay, so there's no check-in desk or key pickup. Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM, unless you've purchased a late departure.

Are linens and towels included?

Yes — complimentary linens are included and the beds are made before you arrive.
